What's in the bundle

Seven things UK agencies charge extra for. All included.

01

Bespoke build.

Hand-coded static site. No template builder, no WordPress, no plugin updates. Fast, lean, looks like your business and not like everyone else's. 5 to 20 pages depending on tier.

02

UK edge hosting.

Served from UK edge nodes via Railway static infrastructure. Sub-second load times. 99.9% uptime. SSL included. Built to survive traffic spikes without falling over.

03

.co.uk domain.

Registration, renewal, DNS, and SSL handling. You stay the registrant. We just keep it pointed at the right place and renew it before it lapses.

04

Business email.

3 to 10 mailboxes on your domain (you@yourcompany.co.uk) via mxroute. Webmail, IMAP, SMTP, spam filtering. Most UK agencies charge £5-12 per mailbox on top. We include them.

05

Monthly updates.

One round of small changes every month, included. New team photo, a price tweak, a paragraph on a service page. Email it through, it's done within 48 hours.

06

SEO basics, included.

Every site ships with proper meta tags, a sitemap, structured data, and clean semantic HTML. Not an upsell, not a premium tier. Just table stakes for any site Ted puts his name on.

07

UK email support.

Real human, UK-based, replies within one working day. No ticket queues, no chatbots. The same person who built your site is the one answering.

Boho on Tour Cotswolds Car Show website, hero section showing event title over a coffee van photo, ticket CTA, and the upcoming event date

Boho on Tour. Cotswolds Car Show.

A 6-page static site for a friendly, community-driven car show in the Cotswolds. Supercars, classics and bangers, street food, live DJs, family-friendly. Built to be fast on mobile (the show field has patchy 4G) and easy for the organiser to update the event date and gallery before each tour stop.

  • 6 pages: Home, Events, Vendors & Sponsors, Tickets, Gallery, Contact
  • Next event date and location editable in plain HTML (no CMS login)
  • Lazy-loaded image gallery (24 photos, no jank on mobile)
  • UK edge hosting + .co.uk domain + business email bundled
  • Static. Loads in under a second on UK 4G.

How the pricing works

Setup fee covers the build. Monthly covers the running.

You pay the setup fee once, up front, before work starts. That covers the design, build, domain registration, mailbox setup, launch. The monthly covers hosting, email, SSL, monthly updates, support. Cancel any month and keep everything. The setup fee is non-refundable because by the time you've paid it, the work is done. From month 2 onwards the monthly is the only thing on the bill.

Pay annually instead of monthly and you'll save 20% on the running cost. No setup-fee change, no contract. Annual renews each year on the same date, cancel any time before renewal and you keep the site.

Why static, not WordPress

The boring stack that wins.

Most UK small business sites don't need a database.

WordPress is right for blogs, shops, or anything with frequent user-generated content. For a 5-20 page business site, it's overkill. You're paying for hosting overhead, plugin updates, security patches, and a CMS you'll never log into after month three.

A static site loads faster, ranks better, and stays up when traffic spikes. No plugin vulnerabilities to patch. No database to back up. No "have you tried turning it off and on again" calls at 11pm on a Saturday.

What this means in practice.

Speed: sub-second page loads on UK 4G. Matters for Google ranking and customer patience.

Security: nothing to hack. No admin panel to brute-force. No plugin zero-days to worry about.

Uptime: served from a global edge network. If one node fails, traffic reroutes in seconds.

Cost: no licence fees, no premium plugins, no agency retainer to keep the lights on.

How it works

From first chat to live site in 10 working days.

01

Chat, 20 minutes.

Free. We talk about your business, your audience, what the site needs to do. I tell you which tier fits, quote the setup fee and any extras (custom photography, copy, integrations), and send a one-page summary by email.

02

Design draft, day 3-5.

I design the homepage and one inner page from scratch in Figma. You review, react, request changes. One round of revisions before code starts.

03

Build, day 6-9.

Hand-coded HTML/CSS, real fonts, real images. Static. Fast. I show you a working preview URL as I go.

04

Launch, day 10.

Domain transferred, DNS pointed, SSL active, mailboxes live, search engines submitted. You get a handover document with everything you need to know. The setup fee covers everything to this point. The first monthly bill arrives 30 days after launch.

Already have a site?

Three common starting points.

If you have nothing yet

Start with Essential.

5 pages, your domain, 3 mailboxes, hosted, live. Best for sole traders, freelancers, and new businesses. £300 setup + £20/mo, no contract, you own everything.

If you have a Wix or Squarespace site

Migrate to static.

I'll rebuild the same content properly, move the domain, set up real email, hand over a site that's 5× faster and looks like you. Half-price setup fee for migrations, then standard monthly.

If you need Local SEO too

Add the Map Pack service.

Want a bigger site and a quarterly strategic review on top? Growth covers up to 20 pages and includes a 30-min call every quarter. Or pair any tier with the £150/mo managed Local SEO service and you get a website plus the Map Pack for under £175/mo total.

The honest bit

What this isn't.

Not a DIY builder.

You won't log into a drag-and-drop editor. The site is built by a human, you review it, you ask for changes. If you want full DIY control, use Squarespace and pay £20/mo yourself.

Not a £5/mo template site.

Below £30/mo you're in Mojo Websites / Inventis territory. Template, churn-heavy, your site looks like 200 others. Ted builds bespoke. The look is yours.

Not WordPress with a "techy" wrapper.

WordPress is fine for blogs and shops. It's the wrong tool for a 5-20 page SME site. No CMS, no plugin updates, no security patches. Static is cheaper, faster, more reliable for what you need.

Not a 60-page agency retainer.

You don't get account managers, quarterly strategy calls, or a 47-page brand book. You get a working site, real email, monthly updates, and a phone number that gets answered. That's the whole offer.

Twenty minutes on a call. I'll sketch out what your tier looks like, what the first month would include, and quote any extras you need. No slides, no deck, no sales pressure.
