Is an AI consultant just another sales team?

Some are, some aren't. Mine isn't. There is no account manager between you and the person doing the work. Every engagement is scoped, fixed-price, and ends with you owning the system, the code, the data, and the roadmap. If a piece of work isn't worth doing, you'll hear that on the call, not after the invoice.

How do I know an AI system won't break the moment I rely on it?

The architecture is built for that question. Every system I ship has monitoring, fallback paths, and approval gates baked in from day one. The work I do survives contact with a real business, including the messy parts, because the discipline is in the stack, not in the personality.

Do I own the AI system, or am I renting it?

You own it. Source code, data, documentation, and roadmap are all handed over at the end of the engagement. There is no recurring fee to me and no platform lock-in. If you want to leave, you can leave with everything in hand.

What does an AI consultant cost for a small business?

It depends on the process, not on a package. Day-rate advisory work is fixed-scope. Build work is scoped and fixed-price after a free 20-minute call. If the work isn't worth doing, you'll be told straight on the call, before any quote.

Can you help me implement AI in my company, or just advise?

Both. The three services are Build, Advise, and Enable, and you can pick any one or move between them. Most clients start with Advise to confirm AI is genuinely worth the build, then move into Build once the scope is clear. Enable handles the team training and ongoing support after launch.

What AI should I buy first for my business?

Probably none. The honest first step is to map the bottleneck, not the model. Most operators come to me having already spent on AI tools that didn't deliver, and the pattern is the same: the tools were right, but they were bolted onto the wrong workflow. A 20-minute call usually surfaces the right starting point.

Why do AI projects fail for small businesses?

Three reasons show up most often: scope too big, no clear owner on the customer side, and a tool that demos well but breaks under real load. The fix is fixed scope, an operator on the customer side who actually uses the system, and architecture built for failure cases, not happy paths.

What's the difference between an AI pilot and a production AI system?

A pilot is a one-off demo that works on Tuesday and breaks by Friday. A production system is observable, maintainable, approval-aware, integrated with the tools you already use, and measured. The point of going from pilot to production is that the system holds up on a Monday morning without someone hand-holding it.
